The Knights of Columbus
The St. Christopher of the Ozarks Council 4187, Knights of Columbus, welcomes you to St. Canera's web site. The Knights of Columbus was founded in March of 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney in response to the need for financial support of Catholic widows and orphans. From humble beginnings the Knights are now over 1.8 million members strong with over 14,000 councils worldwide. Locally we raise funds for a number of causes through our 5th Sunday breakfasts, Celebrate Neosho, the Neosho Fall Festival and Tootsie Roll drive. We were able to help Care Net Pregnancy Center purchase an ultra sound machine for their clinic. Membership in the Knights is for practicing Catholic men 18 years or older who are in good standing with the church. Meetings are monthly on the first Thursday evening and last about one hour. For more information about becoming a knight, please contact Grand Knight, Joe Davis, Jr.
